From Fat to Running

My entire life, I chalked up being chunky to being Portuguese. Find me a Portuguese woman without a giant booty. I dare you. In 2010, I began to make a change. It was a diet overhaul. It was missing pint nights with friends. It was spending hours in the gym. It was HARD WORK.

Fast forward through 60 pounds lost to 2012 and a cross country move. I started attending Missouri State University as an exercise and movement science major. And then I started running. I lost some more weight. Ran a half marathon. Decided to enter a triathlon. Somewhere in that, I’m finding out how to balance having a life and training my body to be the best it can be.

Besides that, I love cooking and hate to do the dishes. I’m a California girl still figuring out how to live in Missouri. I’d opt for a night in listening to Boyfriend play XBox than dress up and go out. I’m obsessed with Packers football and LA Kings hockey.

I’m not very exciting. But some people think I’m amusing.
